About the school timetable template generator
A school timetable shows which subject is taught in each period on every working day. This tool builds a clean landscape A4 timetable for any class, with period timings and breaks worked out automatically from your start time.
How to use the school timetable generator
- School: enter the school name. Add the UDISE number (11 digits) if you want your school details and timetables saved on this device for next time. Choose the academic year, language and design style.
- Class: choose the class and, if needed, a division and the class teacher's name.
- Days, periods and timings: choose the working days, the number of periods, the start time and the minutes per period. Set the short break and lunch break, or set them to 0 for none.
- Subjects: type or pick a subject in every period box. Use "Copy first day to all days" to fill the same subjects on every day, then change only the days that differ.
- Subject teachers (optional): enter the teacher for each subject once, then tick whether to show names under the subjects or in a list at the bottom.
- Generate: tap "Generate timetable", check the preview, then download the PDF or PNG, or print it. Add the signature of the class teacher and principal.
- Save: tap Save to keep this class on your device. Make the next class with "New class". School and timing settings are kept.
How to use the custom fields
- Custom class: in the Class list choose "Custom (type it)" and type the name, for example "B.A. First Year" or "Diploma 2nd Year".
- Faculty: for 11th, 12th and custom classes, choose Arts, Science or Commerce so it prints on the timetable. Choose "Custom (type it)" for others such as Vocational. For 11th and 12th a faculty is required. It also narrows the subject suggestions.
- Custom break: tap "+ Add custom break", type a name (for example Prayer or Games), the period number it comes after (for example 6) and its minutes. Add as many as you need. The times of the following periods move automatically.
- Different period lengths: if not every period is the same length, tick "Periods have different lengths" and type the minutes for each period, for example 30 for the first period and 40 for the rest. Empty boxes use the default minutes, and all later times move automatically. It works on both English and Marathi timetables. - Custom subject: the suggestions are only a help. Type any subject name you like.
- Heading: type your own heading to replace "CLASS TIME TABLE", for example "Second Semester Time Table".
- Show period times: untick it if you want only the periods, subjects and names on the sheet, without times.
- Print all classes: save each class, then tick "Print all saved classes together" to get one page per class in a single PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make a timetable for a custom class?
Yes. Choose "Custom (type it)" in the class list and type any name, such as 11th Science or B.A. First Year. Nursery to 12th are also in the list.
Can I keep timetables for many classes?
Yes. Save each class on this device, then use Load to open one. Tick "Print all saved classes together" to get one page per class in a single PDF.
How are the period timings set?
Enter the first period start time, the minutes per period, and where the short break and lunch break come. The times for every period are calculated for you.
Can I make it in Marathi?
Yes. Choose Marathi to get day names, class names and labels in Marathi. Subjects are printed exactly as you type them.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything is created in your browser. Saved timetables stay in your device storage, and the erase button removes them.
